DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM AUDIT

Northwest Electrical Services LLC performed an on and off site inspection and audit of a utility distributed control system for the island utility generating plant. The audit covered the following critical areas of focus:

• Application and software maintenance
• Software change management and security
• Network design and infrastructure
• Network Security
• Human resource capabilities

Following the audit, a detailed report and recommended plan was provided to address areas of documentation, change management, human resource requirements, software and application upgrade / maintenance paths.

Additionally, recommendations were made to enhance cybersecurity and network architecture in conjunction with industry best standards.
